How to access Fort Huachuca

  • Please Obtain Pre-Clearance! Save yourself the hassle of a delay at the gate by obtaining your pre-clearance authorization online. Visit This Link To Obtain Pre-Clearance. • Bring a government-issued photo ID (REAL ID–compliant ID is required for vetting per Fort Huachuca guidance).
  • If you do not have a DoD credential (CAC/Military ID), you should expect a background check prior to unescorted access.
  • Follow the official Visitor Access page for current rules, locations, and updates.
  • Vehicle operators should have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance; vehicles may be subject to inspection.
  • If you’re a non-U.S. citizen, the official policy indicates you must be escorted on the installation.
Visitor Control Center (VCC) / Gate hours:
Buffalo Soldier Gate: open 24/7
Van Deman Gate & Visitor Control Center: Mon–Fri 5:30 AM–5:30 PM (closed weekends/holidays)
